What a mutual fund distributor actually does
Six ways we help investors put money to work with intent — each of them starting from your goal, never from a product.

Mutual Fund Distribution
Everything Nivesh Sarthi does sits within mutual fund distribution — choosing, executing, reviewing and explaining. We do not distribute insurance, deposits or any other product line.

Mutual Fund Investments
An AMFI-registered distributor does considerably more than help you buy a fund. The work is in matching a category to a goal, keeping the number of schemes sensible rather than scattered, executing cleanly, and being reachable years later when something needs doing.
- Equity, hybrid and debt schemes across fund houses
- Regular plans, with the commission disclosed to you upfront
- One consolidated view instead of six apps
SIP Planning
The commonest reason a SIP fails is not the fund. It is that the amount was set at what someone could afford in a good month. We would rather begin lower and step it up as your income grows than have it stopped in the third year.
- An amount sized against your actual monthly surplus
- Auto-debit set up once, running on its own after that
- A step-up planned in as income rises
Goal-Based Investing
A goal turns an abstract balance into a decision you can hold on to. It also settles the questions that are otherwise guesswork: how long the money has, which category suits that horizon, and how much it needs to be each month.
- Each goal costed at a realistic future value
- A horizon and a category chosen to match
- Progress measured against the goal, not against an index
Portfolio Review
Most portfolios we see are not badly chosen so much as accumulated: a fund from a bank, two from an app, one a relative suggested. A review consolidates them, removes the overlap, and leaves you with a list you can explain.
- Existing holdings reviewed, wherever they were bought
- Overlap and duplication identified
- A clear view of what to keep, switch or stop
Investment Guidance
The decisions that cost investors the most are rarely the ones made at the start. They are made in a bad quarter, quickly, alone. Having someone who knows why the plan was built the way it was is most of the value of having a distributor at all.
- A second opinion before any change
- Plain answers, including when the answer is to do nothing
- Support with redemptions, switches and paperwork
Investor Education
This one comes with no expectation attached. An investor who understands what they hold asks better questions, panics less and stays invested longer. If that eventually means you would rather do it yourself, the education was still worth giving.
- One-to-one sessions, in plain language
- Written explainers you can re-read at home
- No question treated as too basic
How we get paid
No advisory fee and no hidden charge. As AMFI-registered distributors we are paid a trail commission by the fund house out of the scheme expense ratio, disclosed to you upfront, exactly as SEBI requires.
Understand. Plan. Invest. Review.
Four steps, in that order, every time. Nothing is recommended before the first one is done.
01
Understand
We start with you, not with a scheme. Income, commitments, what you are saving for, when you will need it, and how you would feel if it fell 20% along the way.
02
Plan
Each goal gets a time horizon, an amount and a sensible category of fund — with the reasoning written down in plain language so you can check it later.
03
Invest
Paperless KYC, a SIP or lumpsum set up digitally, and every document explained before you sign it. Start small if you would rather; it can always be stepped up.
04
Review
We look at it together periodically, and whenever life changes — a new job, a new child, a goal that has arrived. Changes get made because something changed, not because markets moved.

Whether you are starting your first ₹500 SIP or looking at a portfolio built up over years, the first conversation is free and there is nothing to sign.
